Brake Disc Service

Brake Disc Repair & Replacement

Maintain optimal stopping performance with precision-engineered brake discs fitted by experts.

Service Overview

Brake discs (or rotors) work alongside your brake pads to provide the friction required to stop your vehicle. Every time you apply the brakes, a small amount of metal is worn away from the disc surface.

Over thousands of miles, discs can become too thin, warped due to extreme heat, or heavily corroded. This leads to reduced braking efficiency, increased stopping distances, and unpleasant vibrations.

At Car Services, we never recommend just "turning" or resurfacing worn discs. We believe in complete replacement with high-specification components to guarantee your safety and restore your vehicle's original braking performance.

When to Replace Discs

If you feel a shaking through the steering wheel or brake pedal when braking at speed, your discs may have warped (distorted) due to overheating.
Visible "lips" on the edge of the disc or deep circular grooves indicate that the disc has reached the end of its service life or has been damaged by worn-out brake pads.
In the UK, road salt and moisture can cause heavy pitting on the rear of the discs (often invisible through the wheels). This is a common MOT failure.

Always in Pairs

For balanced braking, discs must always be replaced in pairs across the same axle (Front or Rear).
